From a bowling perspective, Cross advises that hitting a good length around the top of off stump will be crucial. She also emphasizes the impact of spinners in the tournament, pointing out that the average turn on this pitch has increased from 1.8 degrees to 2.5 degrees over the last three games. Cross specifically mentions Shreyanka Patil's five-wicket haul in the previous game as evidence of the growing importance of spin on this pitch.

Meg Lanning, the captain of UP Warriorz, says that they would have bowled first as well. Adds that it seems to be the trend, but Gujarat showed there's still opportunity to score well while batting first as well. She explains that the conditions and team dynamics led tog this decision, with Hayley Matthews returning to the side and Shabnim Ismail resting. Harmanpreet expects Matthews to play a significant role on this pitch. She also confirms that Poonam Khemnar will not play today, and Nalla Reddy will make her debut. Harmanpreet highlights the importance of conditions and giving opportunities to all players in the main part of the tournament.
