That's all from this game! Bangladesh win the series with a game to spare and they will be pleased while Sri Lanka will hope to finish the series on a high after two disappointing outings. The last ODI will be played on Friday, 28th May 2021 at 1300 local (0700 GMT). Do join us then. Cheers and take care.
Mushfiqur Rahim, Player of the Match, says to win is a special thing and to contribute from the front really feels good but he is gutted as he couldn't finish the innings. He even adds there is a lot of areas to work on, this is not an easy track to play, but he is sure the teammates would take notes about the batting here and work on it together and come back stronger in the next match.
Tamim Iqbal, the Bangladesh skipper, says that they won 2 games and is happy that they won the series but hopes that they can play their perfect game in the third ODI. Opines that Rahim's innings was very good and adds that the wicket played well too. Praises his bowlers, especially Islam and Taskin. Feels that he is happy with the bowling and fielding department and adds that they took a couple of good catches.
Kusal Perera says that the lack of experience cost them the game and in both the games, they have struggled. Adds that they have to back their strengths and they have to play fearless cricket.
Earlier, in the game, Bangladesh were in trouble but Mushfiqur Rahim's century helped the hosts post 246 which was a good score on the wicket. The Lankan bowlers were good with Chameera doing a good job. The target looked difficult but by no means out of reach but Sri Lanka collapsed big time and they have been defeated by a huge margin. There were some rain interruptions and the game was reduced to 40 overs but by then the game was done and dusted.
Sri Lanka were poor. They had a disappointing outing in the first ODI as well but they had shown a fight, but sadly, nothing in the second game. They bowled decently but their batting was poor. No one could make anything substantial and they crumbled against the Bangladeshi bowling. The problem was some batters got starts but could not capitalize and they have succumbed quite easily.
Bangladesh's bowlers were superb. They bowled superbly and did not give anything away to the Lankans. The spinners were superb, with Mehidy Hasan being the star of the show, picking up three wickets. Shakib too was brilliant while Mustafizur Rahman continued his form from the first game as well. Taskin Ahmed did not hold back as well as he bowled brilliantly and not giving Sri Lanka even a sniff. They will be pleased with the effort and they will go back proud.
An excellent win for Bangladesh. They have won the game quite comfortably, by 103 runs (DLS method), and have taken the series with one game to spare. They also move to the first position in the World Cup Super League table and it is a proud moment for them. They had come into this series after not winning 10 games and they have bounced back with a bang. Sri Lanka, on the other hand, gave a fight in the first ODI but they have been crushed in this game.

DRINKS! Bangladesh have got Sri Lanka right where they want them. The hosts have snared 6 wickets and are not making run-scoring easy for the Islanders. But, in the first ODI too, they were at such a phase, but Hasaranga came out and almost turned the game around for Sri Lanka, and they have him out in the middle too. A lot will depend on him and also on Bandara, as he has to play that supporting role to perfection. With 136 more needed from 108 balls, this game could go either way, but it looks to be moving the way of the hosts. Now, Mustafizur Rahman comes back into the attack. 3-0-11-1 so far for him.
