What a first session this was for Pakistan! Everyone expected the hosts to make early inroads but the opening partnership for Pakistan has been outstanding and they have set up a platform to complete a record chase. Still, a long way to go but Pakistan are off to a perfect start to chase down this target. Is the pitch easier to bat on? Clearly no, there were a couple of LBW shouts early on but once both the batters settled in, they found the rhythm to tackle the spin and play with much more time. Earlier in the session, Pakistan did well to bundle out Lanka before setting their eye on the target. They have been superb with the bat since then. That said, this pitch will now start playing tricks post Lunch and will be interesting to see how the match pans out. Because one thing is for sure in Galle. You might feel that the match is snoozing and might take a nap and suddenly, with a snap, you will see 5 wickets fall in next to no time.
