The match witnessed multiple momentum shifts between two rain interruptions. Gujarat Titans' bowling attack, led by spinners Sai Kishore and Rashid Khan, initially restricted Mumbai Indians despite dropping three catches in the powerplay.


Will Jacks scored 53 runs off 35 balls, including five fours and three sixes, while Suryakumar Yadav contributed 35 runs from 24 balls. The pair added 71 runs for the third wicket for Mumbai Indians.

Gujarat Titans' spinners turned the game around, with Sai Kishore taking 2-34 and Rashid Khan claiming 1-21. They helped trigger a collapse that saw Mumbai Indians lose five wickets for just 26 runs.

In their chase, Gujarat Titans lost Sai Sudharsan early for 5 runs, caught behind off Trent Boult. Shubman Gill and Jos Buttler then steadied the innings with a 77-run partnership.

The match dynamics shifted during two crucial overs. Hardik Pandya's over included two no-balls and three wides, while Will Jacks' over saw Sherfane Rutherford score 15 runs with two boundaries.

A brief rain interruption worked in Gujarat Titans' favor as they were ahead on the DLS method at that point, thanks to Rutherford's aggressive batting.
