There isn't much to talk about because everyone knows what we need to do in T20s. We have been playing continuously and have been in rhythm. It is a new season, a new franchise and hopefully a good result. Pandya is very different. He is getting responsible now. Earlier he used to be in his own mood, but now he is getting responsible and is talking to the players as well. Both teams are new and both of them would want to give more than 100%. But you need to prepare according to the wicket and the ground.

Pitch Report
"It is a brand new pitch, a corking pitch. The pitch has moved two strips across from game one, so one side the square boundary is only 59m and the other side is 70m. There is a difference compared to the match one pitch, this looks very dry. It has lost a lot of its grass. There is no grass to help the pacers like it did for Umesh Yadav. Rashid Khan will come into play as it is dry and lost a bit of tack. The cracks are also starting to open up. Dew is a huge factor and captains will love to chase down totals." -- Graeme Swann and Matthew Hayden.

Hello, hello, hello! It's time for the game of debuts as two newbies, Gujarat and Lucknow will go face to face in match 4 of the Indian T20 League. It's KLassy Rahul vs Kung Fu Pandya. Plenty will be on the line for the two as they aim to outline an early impression in this league. The teams might be new but the players would be aware of the standards having been associated with the cash-rich league in some form or the other in the yesteryears. Despite being given the tag as the newcomers,  both teams have the capacity to light up the stage on any given day and we promise you, a thrilling game beckons at the Wankhede Stadium.

* Hardik Pandya is two big hits away from reaching 100 sixes in the IPL.
18:42 (IST) Mar 28

All eyes will be on Hardik Pandya who will be making his captaincy debut with Gujarat. Rashid Khan, the vice-captain and Shubman Gill are his trump cards. Their strength lies in their bowling attack which boasts the likes of Lockie Ferguson, Mohammed Shami and Dominic Drakes to name a few. They have a powerful squad and good all-round options as well. With a lot of fresh hopes, they will be keen to start their campaign with a win

18:38 (IST) Mar 28
* Gujarat Titans' David Miller needs 26 more runs to reach the 2000 mark in the IPL.
18:35 (IST) Mar 28

The KL Rahul-led Lucknow side has fared well at the auction. They have got Quinton de Kock to partner Rahul at the top while they have a well-rounded and flexible set of all-rounders in Marcus Stoinis, Krunal Pandya, Deepak Hooda, Krishnappa Gowtham and Jason Holder. However, Stoinis and Holder won't be available in this match. They still have plenty of options to fill those places. Playing their first match, they would want to put their best foot forward and start their season with a win.

* Since 2020, 14 out of 20 T20 matches have been won by the chasing team at the Wankhede Stadium.

It remains to be seen whether the team management play an extra pacer or a spinner and considering that the first game was a low-scoring affair and dew played a part, team winning the toss, would opt to bat first.
18:09 (IST) Mar 28
As debutants Gujarat Titans and Lucknow Super Giants lock horns at the Wankhede Stadium on Monday, all eyes will be on LSG's opening pair KL Rahul and Quinton de Kock who joined the new IPL franchise from Punjab Kings and Mumbai Indians respectively. From Gujarat's side, all eyes will be set on a returning Hardik Pandya who will be leading the lines for the Titans backed by a couple of strong Indian names in Shubman Gill and Mohammed Shami.
17:54 (IST) Mar 28
The bowlers led by Avesh Khan would need to bowl tightly to stop Gujarat batters and another important cog in their wheel is Ravi Bishnoi, who can deceive the batters with his googlies.
17:44 (IST) Mar 28
The LSG all-rounders
Lucknow too have an array of all-rounders in Deepak Hooda, Krunal Pandya and West Indian Jason Holder, and their role with the bat in the middle order along with Manish Pandey, a seasoned campaigner, is vital. Another option for the team management is Evin Lewis, an explosive batter.
17:34 (IST) Mar 28
For Lucknow, a lot rests on their skipper KL Rahul, who could open the batting with South African Quinton De Kock. With wide range of shots at their disposal, the duo can pummel any attack to submission.
17:26 (IST) Mar 28

KL Rahul and Quinton de Kock's right hand and left hand combination makes a devastating opening pair and they can get the team off to a flying start.

Shami & Rashid will lead the Titans' attack
Key pacer Mohammed Shami will lead the bowling attack and would be looking for a successful run to make a strong case for selection in the India squad for the World Cup in Australia later this year. Another important cog in their wheel is leggie Rashid Khan, who could relish bowling on the Wankhede track.
17:10 (IST) Mar 28
For Gujarat Titans, Karnataka's Abhinav Manohar would need to shoulder responsibility in the middle order along with David Miller.
17:01 (IST) Mar 28
Another key all-rounder for Gujarat Titans is Vijay Shankar and his four overs with his medium pace could also make the difference.
17:00 (IST) Mar 28
Titans' Rahul Tewatia would need to shed his one match IPL wonder tag. Tewatia has already said that he would need to take more responsibility with the willow.
16:58 (IST) Mar 28
Wankhede is a familiar ground for Hardik
Gujarat would heavily bank on the performance of their skipper Hardik Pandya, who has loads of experience playing at the Wankhede with Mumbai Indians. Known for his six-hitting prowess, Hardik this season will have to take more responsibility with the bat and also bat higher up the order.
16:55 (IST) Mar 28
Gill, Gurbaz likely to open for Titans
Gujarat could most likely open with young Shubman Gill and Afghanistan batter Rahmanullah Gurbaz, who is also a wicket-keeper. The duo can take any opposition attack to task, but would need to be wary of the bounce at the Wankhede stadium.
