India vs England 1st T20I Highlights: All-round England beat India by 8 wickets in T20I series opener

A lackluster batting performance was followed by a Jason Roy storm as England demolished India convincingly by eight wickets in Ahmedabad on Friday. The game started horribly for the hosts as they got off to a worst possible start after England skipper invited them to bat first. India lost their top three for just 22 inside powerplay and then never got going from there throughout their innings. Shreyas Iyer's 67 took India to 124/7 but then the England opening pair of Jos Buttler and Jason Roy completely took apart the Indian bowling attack in the powerplay overs, giving them no chance to get back in the game. A 72-run opening stand that saw Roy hit a 32-ball 49 took England to a commanding position. Jonny Bairstow (26*) and Dawid Malan (24*) then finished off the game for England with 8 wickets and 27 balls remaining.
