India vs England 1st ODI Highlights: Krishna takes four on debut, India beat England by 66 runs to go 1-0 up

FOUR! This time Jason Roy goes deep into his crease and slams Bhuvneshwar Kumar through point for yet another four. Both the England openers making the most of the Powerplay overs. Finding the gaps to perfection. England raise their 50 in just 6.1 overs.

SIX! FOUR! FOUR! Jonny Bairstow has decided to go after the newbie. Collects consecutive boundaries off Prasidh Krishna. A six over long-on and then a couple of fours on either sides of the wicket. Krishna is under pressure! England 44/0 after 5.5 overs.

Exquisite from Jonny Bairstow. A 145 km/hr over-pitched delivery from Krishna and Bairstow presents the full face of his bat. Times it to perfection. Hits the ball straight over the bowler to collect his first maximum of the match.

That was almost unplayable. Another in-swinger from Bhuvneshwar Kumar. This time it cuts Roy in half. Just misses the top of the off stump.

FOUR! This time Prasidh Krishna digs the ball in short. Jason Roy pulls the ball in style to the fine-leg fence. Beats the fielder at the fence comfortably. ENG 21/0 after 4 overs.

A solid 98 from opener Shikhar Dhawan was followed by a quickfire 112-run partnership between debutant Krunal Pandya and KL Rahul as India got to 317 for 5 against England in the first ODI in Pune. Put into bat after losing the toss, India got off to a sedate start as both Rohit and Dhawan started cautiously against a disciplined pace attack from England. Rohit fell on 28 but then a 105-run partnership between Dhawan and Kohli strengthened India's position in the middle overs. But then two quick wicket of Kohli (56) and Shreyas Iyer (6) swung the momentum in England's favour. Hardik Pandya too had an off day and fell for just 1 run. Brother Krunal then came to partner with Rahul and the duo just took apart the England bowlers. An unbeaten 112-run stand off just 57 balls helped India find the momentum back in the death overs and took the hosts over the 300-run mark. Krunal, who remained unbeaten on 58, in the process, also cracked the fastest fifty (26 balls) by a debutant in ODIs. For England, Ben Stokes returned figures of 3/34 while Mark Wood also managed a couple of wickets.

Krunal Pandya and KL Rahul collect 13 runs off the final over from Mark Wood including a couple of boundaries. Riding on the fifties from the duo and a 112-run unbeaten sixth wicket partnership, India get to 317/5 in their fifty overs. Both Krunal and Rahul remain unbeaten on 58 and 62 respectively.

SIX! A cracking strike straight down the ground to end the penultimate over of the innings from Tom Curran. KL rahul and Krunal Pandya collect 12 runs from it as India cross the 300-run mark.

KL Rahul now raises his bat as he gets to his 9th ODI fifty off just 39 balls. Had a horrendous outing in the T20Is but have bounced back to form in style in the 50-over format. Gets there with a comfortable single off Tom Curran. India 296/5

A cracking knock from the all-rounder. Debut game for Krunal and what an innings he has played! Gets to his maiden ODI fifty off just 26 balls including 6 fours and 2 sixes. Krunal is now the fastest batsman ever to score a fifty on ODI debut. Gets there with a comfortable single off Tom Curran. Brother Hardik Pandya has a big smile on his face as Krunal raises his bat in the air.

Krunal Pandya is absolutely middling everything at the moment. He moves to 48 off just 24 balls! First a four in the cover region followed by a six over the third-man fielder off Mark Wood. India 288/5 after 47.4 overs.

Timed to perfection! That came out right from the sweet spot of Rahul's bat. Mark Wood firs the ball into the pads of Rahul and he flicks the ball in style over the deep mid-wicket fence to collect six runs. Rahul moves to 45.

Krunal Pandya is looking in superb touch. Now he cracks his first SIX in international cricket. That was right in the slot for Krunal. Picks it up beautifully and deposits the ball over the deep fence. Krunal has raced to 35 off just 20 balls. India 267/5
