NEW DELHI: India were dealt a major injury scare on Day 3 of the fourth Test in Manchester, as pace spearhead Jasprit Bumrah appeared to hurt his left ankle in a concerning moment caught on camera. A video that quickly went viral showed Bumrah stumbling while walking up the stairs during the second session, visibly grimacing as he limped back onto the field at Old Trafford.

The 31-year-old was seen leaving the field soon after, prompting fears about a possible ankle injury. Although he returned within 20 minutes, he looked uncomfortable and was unable to bowl until after the Tea break due to ICC playing conditions.The tension grew when Mohammed Siraj also appeared to be in discomfort, struggling to complete his 22nd over before limping off for treatment. Siraj, however, returned to the field later in the session, easing some of India's immediate worries.India's pace attack has already been hit hard in this series, with Arshdeep Singh, Akash Deep and Nitish Kumar Reddy ruled out due to various injuries.

Meanwhile, England tightened their grip on the Test, with Joe Root scoring a sublime 150 to surpass Ricky Ponting and become the second-highest run-scorer in Test history with 13,409 runs. Root shared a 144-run partnership with Ollie Pope (71).
