Tea Break!
Australia looked good to start off the second session, with Head (38) and Labuschagne (48) getting comfortable. But both fell towards the end of the session to leave Aussies worried again at 136/5 in 52 overs.

Debutants' wicket!
09:35 (IST) Dec 26
Not a very intelligent review by Siraj and Rahane. The ball came in too much after pitching and was clearly going down the leg. The replay confirmed that trajectory after pitching, as the ball hit new batsman Tim Paine's (0*) pads. Australia 134/5.

OUT! Soft dismissal! But Siraj wont' mind that. Labuschagne (48) caught flicking by fellow debutant Gill. Australia 134/5. First Test wicket for Siraj and first Test catch for Gill.

The Aussies have gone into their shell again. In the six overs since Head's wicket, they have scored seven runs to reach 131/4 in 48 overs.

'Head' down
'Head' down

Travis Head will be disappointed to not kick on after doing all the hard work to reach 38.

End of the 44th over. Australia 126/4. Cameron Green has joined Labuschagne (45*) in the middle.
08:56 (IST) Dec 26
Out! Bumrah strikes to break the 86-run partnership. Head (38) departs, caught in the slips by Rahane. An absolute ripper of a delivery by Bumrah, who now has two wickets.
08:49 (IST) Dec 26
Head has his tail up!
08:48 (IST) Dec 26
Yadav induces an outside edge from Labuschagne (43*) but the ball goes between the two slip fielders for a boundary.
08:44 (IST) Dec 26
Consecutive fours to bring up the drinks break!
Head (38*) ends the 40th over on a prolific note and is clearly in the ascendancy now; first a flick to square-leg fence and then a straight drive past a diving mid-off fielder to end Bumrah's expensive over. Australia 117/3.
08:41 (IST) Dec 26
Bumrah is back into the attack. Rahane realising the need of a wicket here as the partnership swells.

That's how Labuschagne got hit on the helmet
08:31 (IST) Dec 26
A straight-driven four by Travis Head (24*) brings up Australia's hundred. The hosts are now 101/3 and breathing a lot easier after those early blows.
08:27 (IST) Dec 26
A bit risky in the end, but Head has finally hit his first boundary -- a slice behind point off Yadav for four. Australia 97/3.

The pair of Labuschagne and Head continue to repair the Aussie innings post lunch.

Is that out? No. The umpire hasn't moved at all, and now shakes his head. It was a good bouncer from Siraj, and the replay shows it struck Labuschagne (36*) on the helmet before lobbing into the fielder's hands. The batsman checking his helmet, but thankfully looks all right. Australia 90/3.
08:10 (IST) Dec 26
Life seems a little easy in the middle for Labuschagne and Head after lunch, not in terms of the number of runs that have come so far but in the way they have managed to tackle whatever Siraj and Ashwin have dished out so far. Australia 88/3. Labuschagne (36)* and Head (12*) raise fifty stand for the fourth wicket.
