NEW DELHI: No one can match Virender Sehwag's batting in his heydays and similarly no one can match his witty humour at the moment.

Sehwag, popularly known as Nawab of Najafgarh, on Saturday took a hilarious dig at Pakistan's batting collapse after they lost 8 wickets in a span of 36 runs to slip from 155/2 to 191 all out in a highly-anticipated World Cup showdown between the arch-rivals.

Sehwag took to social media platform 'X', formerly Twitter, and said: "Hamaari Mehmaanawazi ki baat hi alag hai. Saare Pakistani player ko batting mili. Sabka khyaal rakha jaata hai."

India, playing on their home turf at the packed Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad, put Pakistan into bat. Pakistan seemed to be on a strong path, reaching 155-2 in the 30th over with captain Babar Azam contributing 50 runs and the in-form Mohammad Rizwan adding 49 runs to the scoreboard.

However, the momentum shifted when India's Mohammed Siraj dismissed Babar, setting off a dramatic collapse for Pakistan. They couldn't hold their ground for the remaining 20 overs, eventually getting bundled out for 191 runs in 42.5 overs. This leaves Pakistan's bowlers facing the daunting challenge of defending a rather modest total against India's formidable batting lineup.

Jasprit Bumrah emerged as the standout performer among the Indian bowlers, delivering a clinical display of his unique style of seam bowling and claiming 2 wickets for just 19 runs.
