'Not going to be easy': Sourav Ganguly warns Pakistan in high-stakes World Cup showdown
Former India captain Sourav Ganguly has voiced his excitement ahead of India’s eagerly awaited T20 World Cup clash against Pakistan, set for February 15 in Colombo. He also revealed his favourite players in the current Indian squad.

Talking about the Group A fixture against Pakistan, Ganguly told ANI in Kolkata, "It will be a big World Cup match. The match is on 15th February, it is not going to be easy for Pakistan to defeat India. India is a very good team."
Ganguly also commented on the thrilling start to the T20 World Cup 2026. "The tournament has started really well. So far, it doesn't look that any team is out of place be it Netherlands, Scotland or Nepal. In the Indian team, Abhishek Sharma, Bumrah, Surya, and Ishan Kishan are my favourites," he added.
India kicked off their campaign with a solid 29-run win over the USA, highlighted by skipper Suryakumar Yadav’s match-defining 84 not out from just 49 deliveries.
The Men in Blue are currently in Delhi ahead of their Group A clash against Namibia on February 12. Following that, they will face Pakistan in Colombo on February 15, before concluding their group-stage fixtures against the Netherlands in Ahmedabad on February 18.
