NEW DELHI: India declared their second innings at 287 for four, setting Bangladesh a challenging target of 515 runs to win the first Test at MA Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai. India maintained their dominance on day three, with Rishabh Pant and Shubman Gill leading the way.Rishabh Pant, returning to Test cricket after 634 days, impressed with his strokeplay and reached his sixth Test century off 124 balls, equaling former captain MS Dhoni's record for the most centuries by an Indian wicketkeeper. Scorecard: India vs Bangladesh, 1st TestPant scored 109 runs off 128 balls, including 13 fours and 4 sixes.Following Pant's dismissal, Shubman Gill continued India's strong performance, achieving his fifth Test century in 161 balls. Gill remained unbeaten at 119 runs, having faced 176 balls and hitting 10 fours and 4 sixes.On day two, Bangladesh crumbled to 149 runs in response to India's 376. A record 17 wickets fell that day, setting the stage for India's commanding lead.
