India vs Pakistan ticket sales: ECB official refutes 'sluggish' claim, says signs encouraging
TimesofIndia.com in Dubai: The Emirates Cricket Board (ECB) has refuted claims that they are struggling to sell tickets for the highly anticipated India vs Pakistan tie scheduled for Sunday at the Dubai International Stadium.
"The signs are very encouraging. There is no truth to the claim that tickets are not getting sold," an ECB source told TimesofIndia.com.
"On Wednesday night, we put out 3,000 tickets through the online channel — the Platinum List — and they were all sold out within a couple of minutes. It clearly shows that there is strong interest among fans," the source added.

India and Pakistan are slated to clash on September 14. The teams last met during the Champions Trophy at the same venue where India beat Pakistan by six wickets, albeit it was played in a 50-over format. Their last T20 meeting came during the 2024 T20 World Cup, where a Rohit Sharma-led India edged their rivals by six runs.
Following recent geopolitical tensions between Pakistan and India, one can expect some fireworks from both teams.
TimesofIndia.com has also learnt that Suryakumar Yadav and Salman Ali Agha, captains of India and Pakistan, respectively, had a cordial chat before and after the captain's press conference held on September 9.
"Both of them were pretty chilled. They had a nice chat. There were no signs of animosity between the two captains," the source said.
However, at the press conference, Suryakumar Yadav and Salman Ali Agha dropped hints of aggression.
"Temper? Aggression is always there when we take the field," Suryakumar said. "And without aggression, I don't think you can play this sport. I'm very excited to take the field."
Pakistan captain Salman Agha also agreed with Surya, saying: "You don't need to say anything to any player. Everyone is different individually. If someone wants to be aggressive on the field, they are more than welcome to do that. When it comes to fast bowlers, they are always aggressive and you can't stop them because that's what keeps them going.
"From my side, there are no instructions to anyone, as long as it stays on the field."
