The Emirates Cricket Board's COO Subhan Ahmed has assured that India and Pakistan will likely face each other in the upcoming Asia Cup 2025, despite recent tensions. This comes after India Champions refused to play against Pakistan Champions in two World Championship of Legends (WCL) matches following a terrorist attack in Pahalgam that killed 26 people."While I cannot give a formal guarantee, there is no risk of Pakistan and India not playing. The Asia Cup cannot be compared to private tournaments like the World Championship of Legends, where India refused to play against Pakistan in both the league stage and semi-final," Ahmed told reporters.

Dubai will host 11 matches, including the tournament final, while Abu Dhabi will host eight games.India's schedule includes matches against UAE and Pakistan at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium on September 10 and 14, respectively. They will also face Oman at the Sheikh Zayed Cricket Stadium in Abu Dhabi on September 19.The tournament schedule suggests multiple opportunities for India-Pakistan encounters, as the teams could potentially meet again in the Super 4s stage and the final.This comes at a time when cricket relations between the two nations have been strained due to the April terrorist attack in Jammu and Kashmir's Pahalgam.
