Live: Commonwealth Games 2018: Day 8 - India's medal tally swells to 31
Time to fill you in...
While we had our focus on wrestling, plenty of action transpired from other disciplines. The mixed pair of Dipika Palikal and Saurav Ghosal reached the semifinals with a 2-0 win over Wales. And currently trying their best to make it to the final 4 are Joshna Chinappa and Harinder Pal Sindhu. There's still time left for the final but who all fancy the idea of an All-India final? We surely do...
And REPEAT HISTORY he does. The guy remains unbeaten in three Commonwealth Games: Delhi, Glasgow and now Gold Coast

— Sushil Kumar (@WrestlerSushil) 1523506827000SUSHIL KUMAR does it in style, wins GOLD in men's 77kg freestyle. It's a win by technical superiority against Johannes Botha of South Africa, and he did it all in just... WAIT FOR IT... 80 seconds
So that takes India's tally of medals in wrestling to 4. Sushil brings India's second GOLD medal in wrestling. Till now, it's Two golds, one silver and one bronze. WELL DONE!
Ladies and Gents! We have a new World No. 1

Well... Well... Well. It's as if the good news just don't stop coming. On one hand, while our wrestlers have combined to deliver all three medals, and all eyes remain on Sushil Kumar to make it four, our very own Kidambi Srikanth has climbed to the top of the mountain. He replaces Viktor Axelsen at the top of the BWF rankings to be crowned the brand new World No.1. What an effort it has been! CONGRATULATIONS
Plenty happening for India at CWG folks. Just as we were celebrating Rahul Aware's gold medal finish, we have some more good news for you. India's two double pairs of Manika Batra/Mouma Das and Sutirtha Mukherjee/Pooja Sahasrabudhe have both made it to the semifinal after notching up respective wins.
