In Pics, CWG 2022: Sudhir, Sreeshankar win historic medals for India on Day 7

It was another historic day for India at the Commonwealth Games (CWG) 2022 on Thursday, this time headlined by para-powerlifter Sudhir's gold medal and long-jumper Murali Sreeshankar's silver.

Defending table tennis singles champion Manika Batra and her teammates Reeth Tennison and Sreeja Akula opened their singles campaign with facile victories. In the doubles section as well the top Indian pairs faced little difficulty, with Manika and Sathiyan Gnanasekaran swiftly advancing to the mixed doubles Round of 16, as did Sathiyan and Achanta Sharath Kamal along with Harmeet Desai and Sanil Shetty in men's doubles.
