HYDERABAD: For the first time since its inception in 2008, the

Pullela Gopichand Badminton Academy

Sports Authority of India

(SAI) and

Badminton Association of India

"First priority is health of the players and people around them. As per the instructions of SAI, BAI and the state government it’s clear that indoor, outdoor stadia have to be closed. SAI is also closing its facilities," Pullela Gopichand said.

Queried about the schedules of the players which would be affected, Gopi said, "We don’t know anything as of now. Once we know the tournament schedule of

Badminton World Federation

(BWF), we will plan accordingly. The players will get time to rest, work on some fitness aspects."
