Green fetish holds up plans to clear Delhi's worst traffic mess
|A solution to the worst traffic bottleneck in the city at Rao Tula Ram Marg's half-flyover, which is also a source of severe air pollution because of the stalled traffic, is getting delayed owing to environmental concerns. The Delhi government's forest department has been sitting on PWD's request for felling 319 trees in the area because of a pro-ac tive Delhi high court asking searching questions about the number of trees axed in the city for development projects in the past 10 years.
