South Korea’s Suwon District Court has overturned “Squid Game” actor O Yeong-su’s previous conviction for sexual misconduct, finding insufficient proof beyond reasonable doubt. The court acknowledged possible memory distortion in the accuser’s account while noting O’s earlier apology. The veteran actor, 81, was initially handed an eight-month suspended sentence over a 2017 incident. The acquittal ends a two-year legal battle for the Golden Globe winner, whose case drew global attention after his award-winning role in the hit series.
