British rock legend Morrissey was forced to cancel his scheduled concert in Valencia after claiming severe sleep deprivation caused by the city’s noisy Las Fallas celebrations. The former The Smiths frontman said loud techno music, megaphone announcements and festival noise outside his hotel left him unable to rest, making the performance “impossible.” A statement on Morrissey’s website said the experience left the singer in a “catatonic state.” The 66-year-old rocker is currently touring Spain to promote his new album Make-up Is a Lie, his first release in six years, with upcoming tour stops planned in Zaragoza and Seville.
