Shani Trayodashi 2026: When is Shani Pradosh Vrat? check date, time and significance
Shani Trayodashi is an auspicious day that falls twice a month during shukla paksha and krishna paksha. Pradosh is the etremely fortunate day to worship Lord Shiva and Goddess Parvati. On this sacred day, devotees worship them with devotion and dedication. This month, Pradosh will fall on trayodashi tithi of krishna paksha in the month of phalguna. This Pradosh is going to fall on Saturday and that's why it will be known as Shani Trayodashi. This month, Shani Trayodashi will fall on February 14, 2026.

Shani Trayodashi is one of the most auspicious day. This day holds a great religious and spiritual significance. Pradosh falls twice a month during shukla paksha and krishna paksha. As this Pradosh day is falling on Saturday so it has a great importance and people also worship Lord Shani Dev along with Lord Shiva and Goddess Parvati. This time, it is more special as it is going to occur just a day before Mahashivratri, which is a prominent festival in Hindu religion. On this auspicious day, many devotees would perform Jalabhishekam to Lord Shiva. People, who are experiencing negative effects because of Shani should take advantage of this chance to observe fast, perform Rudrabhishek to Shivlingam, and seek blessings of Lord Shiva. These people should also light a mustard oil diya beneath the peepal tree. In the evening, at the time of gaudhuli or twilight, devotees should perform pradosh puja by placing Lord Shiva and Goddess Parvati idol on a wooden plank, light a doya with desi ghee, invoke the idol by chanting mantras and recite pradosh vrat katha and after completing all the puja rituals by performing aarti, you can break your fast by having sattvik food.
