This day is considered as one of the most auspicious day to honour cattles. They celebrate this festival with great happiness and enthusiasm. On this auspicious day, they mainly worship bulls for their utmost contribution in agriculture and farming activities. Bull are considered as the sacred ones as they contribute their whole life in agriculture. This day marks the end of the monsoon season. Farmers seek blessings for the bountiful harvest. Bulls are offered grains, jaggery and they are decorated with turmeric. Women prepare special dishes at home and offer it to the Lord.
