Amarnath Temple

The holy temple of Baba Barfani, also known as Amarnath Temple, is located at a height of approximately 3,888 meters, around 29 kilometers from Pahalgam. Inside the cave is a Shiva Lingam (formed of ice), believed to be the one of the most sacred place across the globe. Large num,ber of devotees visit this temple during June to August. This holy Amarnath Yatra commences from Chandanwari. It is believed that this is the sacred place where Lord Shiva explained the concept of life and eternity to his consort and bride, Goddess Parvati. According to legends, Bhrigu Muni, a well-known Hindu sage, was the first to discover the Amarnath Cave. At the time, the entire Kashmir Valley was submerged in water, and Kashyap Muni, another powerful sage, used his divine powers to drain the water..!!

Kashi Vishwanath Temple

The Kashi Vishvanath Temple is one of the most famous Hindu temples dedicated to Lord Shiva. It is situated in Varanasi, Uttar Pradesh, India. The temple, located on the western bank of the sacred river Ganga, is one of the twelve Jyotirlingas and the holiest of Shiva temples. The major god is known as Vishvanatha or Vishveshvara, which means the ruler of the Universe. Varanasi is also known as Kashi, hence the temple is often referred to as Kashi Vishvanath Temple..!!

Somnath Temple

Somnath is a wonderful temple situated along the beach at Prabhas Patan, Veraval, Saurashtra, Gujarat. This is one of twelve holy Jyotirlings. The Somnath Temple is also referenced in Chapter 13 of the Shiva Purana. The temple has been rebuilt several times after being destroyed by several Muslim invaders and monarchs, most notably an attack by Mahmud Ghazni in the 11th century. Somnath is one of the most ancient temples and a large number of devotees visit this holy shrine every year..!!

Tungnath Temple

Tungnath is another stunning place near the enchanting hill station of Chopta. Tungnath, located 3680 meters above sea level, is the world's highest temple devoted to Lord Shiva.
Tungnath temple, one of Uttarakhand's most famous five Panch Kedar temples. The pilgrimage to Tunganath is part of the Panch Kedar trekking, which covers all five temples over a 170 km route beginning in Rishikesh and proceeding in the following order: Kedarnath, Tungnath, Rudranath, Madhyamaheswar, and Kalpeshwar..!!

Mahakaleshwar Temple

Shri Mahakaleshwar of Ujjain is one of India's twelve most revered Jyotirlingas. The magnificence of the Mahakaleshwar temple is clearly depicted in several Purans. Mahakaal Ji is revered as the city's unique presiding deity.
The Mahakal lingam is considered to be swayambhu (born of itself). The idol of Mahakaleshwar is known as Dakshinamurti, who faces south. On the day of Mahashivaratri, a large fair is held near the temple, and worship continues throughout the night..!!

Kedarnath Temple

Kedarnath is one of India's most revered temple, located in Garhwal Himalayas. The town, built around the revered Kedarnath temple, is situated at an elevation of 3,580 meters, near the Chorabari glacier, which is the source of the Mandakini river. This temple is dedicated to Lord Shiva, the ancient temple features magnificent architecture. A conical rock formation inside the temple is revered as Lord Shiva in his "Sadashiva" form. The Kedarnath temple is a part of the Char Dham pilgrimage circuit and one of India's 12 Jyotirlingas. Large number of devotees visit the holy shrine and seek blessings of the Lord. The temple remains open only for 6 months..!!
