They ask for blessings and offer prayers to Vat Vriksha, the banyan tree. Vat Vriksha is regarded as one of the most sacred trees in Hindu scriptures. Married ladies offer prayers to this tree since it is thought to be the home of three major Hindu gods: Lord Shiva, Lord Vishnu, and Lord Brahma.
1. Women get up early and take a bath before beginning any ritual.
2. Women wear traditional clothes, and adorn themselves with jewelry.
3. They prepare the satvik meal for bhog prasad and bring flowers, haldi, kumkum, kalash filled with water, and kaccha soot, a sacred white raw thread.
4. Visit temple, where you can find Vat Vriksha, light a diya with desi ghee, and offer everything to the deity. Offer prayers for their husband's health and well being.
5. Circumambulate the tree, then tie that white raw thread around it.
6. Women should seek the blessings and they should also seek blessings from the elders or in laws by touching their feet.
7. After that, seek your husband's blessings by touching his feet and then break your fast with sattvik food.
