PM Modi expressed deep concern at the rising "export of terror", in an apparent reference to Pakistan, saying it is a common security threat to the region as he sought a coordinated response from ASEAN member nations to combat the menace. "Export of terror, growing radicalisation and spread of extreme violence are common security threats to our societies," he said in his second attack on Pakistan in two days amid escalating war of words between New Delhi and Islamabad.

The East Asia summit will be attended by the leaders of the 10 Asean nations and those of India, China, Japan, South Korea, Australia, New Zealand, the US and Russia.

The India-Asean summit will be attended by the leaders of 10 southeast Asian nations - Indonesia, Malaysia, the Philippines, Singapore, Brunei, Cambodia, Laos, Myanmar, Vietnam and Thailand.

PM will be attending the annual the India-Association of Southeast Asian Nations (Asean) annual summit upon his arrival today and the East Asia summit on Thursday.
