NEW DELHI: Delhi Daredevils had picked a 23-man squad to compete in
IPL 7. But six games into this year's campaign, they have released three players -- Delhi's Milind Kumar and Karnataka's Jayant Yadav and HS Sharath -- from the team.
Although the team was not forthcoming with an official reason for sending the players home, it is believed that the Daredevils team management have more or less figured out the players they'll be utilizing in the season.
"Milind, Jayant and Sharath have been released from the squad to return. However, they can be called back up in case of injuries or any other requirement of the team," a source close to the development told TOI.
'High-spirited' DDCA members create ruckus at Kotla club house Saturday's Delhi Daredevils-Rajasthan Royals clash at the Kotla did not see too much on-field action as the visitors coasted to an easy victory. Off the field, though, it was a happening evening.
If a fire at the super hospitality ill area was not enough, some members of Delhi & Districts Cricket Association (DDCA) created a ruckus in the club house area, apparently after a drink too many.
DDCA vice-president
Chetan Chauhan said that he was looking into the matter and hoped that the incident would not be repeated. "We will take appropriate action," Chauhan told TOI on Sunday.
