San Francisco 49ers’ top receiver Deebo Samuel plans to play again in Week 4 against the New England Patriots. NFL Insider Jordan Schultz shared this news. Samuel missed Week 3 after the team lost to the Los Angeles Rams. Many people thought Samuel would miss more games after head coach Kyle Shanahan said he would be gone for "a couple weeks." He will now play after missing just one game. The 49ers are 1-2 and need his help.

Success Despite Getting Hurt

Even with limited play this season Samuel has already gained 177 total yards and scored a touchdown in two games. Last year in 2023 he appeared in 15 games catching 60 passes for 892 yards and seven touchdowns. He also added 225 rushing yards and five rushing touchdowns. His strong performance was key in getting the 49ers to the Super Bowl where they lost to the Kansas City Chiefs. Also Read - Record Breaking Viewership of NFL

A History of Resilience

In 2023 Samuel missed two games because of a hurt shoulder but kept being a big help for the 49ers. His steady play helped them finish the season 12-5 earning the top spot in the NFC playoffs. But he didn’t score any touchdowns in the team’s three playoff games which he probably thinks about now as he is ready to play again.

Financial Implications and Future Prospects

This year Samuel’s hit on the salary cap is $12.2 million. Next year this grows to $28.3 million. A lot of money is tied to him staying healthy as the team goes after another Super Bowl. Can Samuel help them handle a hard season ahead?

A Dangerous Passing Attack Awaits

The 49ers will not have running back Christian McCaffrey for their next game but the passing game seems ready. Brandon Aiyuk Jauan Jennings and tight end George Kittle prepare to join Samuel on the field for Week 4. Could this lineup give the Patriots too much to handle? Also Read - How NFL Players Invest
