Emirates issues update: Reduced flight schedule likely; some cancellations confirmed - what travellers need to know
Emirates has announced that it expects to operate a limited flight schedule after 10:00 hrs Dubai local time today, as operations gradually resume following earlier disruptions. In an update shared with passengers, the Dubai-based airline said that while some flights will begin operating later in the day, several services scheduled for today have been cancelled due to the earlier operational disruption.
“Emirates expects to operate a limited schedule after 10:00 hrs Dubai local time today,” the airline said in a travel update.
The carrier added that passengers whose flights have been cancelled will receive notifications directly from the airline along with information on available rebooking options.
“Unfortunately, some flights from today’s schedule have been cancelled. Affected customers will receive a cancellation notice and will be advised on reaccommodation options,” the airline said.

Emirates has advised travellers to check the status of their flight online before heading to the airport, as the situation remains dynamic and schedules may continue to change.
Passengers can verify whether their flight is operating by checking the flight status section on the airline’s official website, emirates.com.
The airline has also provided options for travellers who wish to change their bookings due to the disruption. Customers can amend their bookings or rebook flights online within 72 hours of their original departure date using the Manage Booking feature on the Emirates website or through the Emirates mobile app.
Travellers who are unable to rebook their flights online have been advised to contact Emirates customer support for assistance.

For passengers who purchased their tickets through a travel agency, the airline said that rebooking requests should be made directly with the respective travel agent.
Emirates apologised to passengers for the inconvenience caused and thanked them for their patience as operations gradually return to normal.
“We apologise for the inconvenience caused,” the airline said in its statement.
The announcement follows similar interruptions to flight operations in Dubai, which forced airlines to adjust timetables and warn travelers. Airlines are prioritizing passenger safety and operational efficiency while attempting to gradually restore services as airport operations stabilize.
It is recommended that all those who are supposed to travel from Dubai today remain cautious and keep a careful eye on official airline updates, and before heading to the airport, confirm their flight status, as there is still a chance that the itinerary may change.
