Gaganendranath Tagore, was one of the first figures in the arena of Indian modern art, along with his terrific brother Abanindranath Tagore. He was the nephew of the great poet and artist Rabindranath Tagore and left an indelible mark on the Indian art genre with his exceptional and innovative works, and his paintings had the perfect blend of modern and Indian essence.
