Prosenjit Chatterjee's next brings Bankim Chandra Chattopadhyay's novel alive on screen

Actor Prosenjit Chatterjee's upcoming film, is currently shooting in full swing. The film is based on Bankim Chandra Chattopadhyay's celebrated novel of the same name, set in 18th-century Bengal. It revolves around a young woman abandoned by her in-laws, who is then adopted by a dacoit and ultimately becomes a female Robin Hood.
Prosenjit portrays the character of Bhavani Pathak, the bandit who mentors Devi Chowdhurani.The actor recently shared a glimpse from the first day of shoot on his social media. According to reports, the actor is currently filming in Jharkhand for the movie. Actress Srabanti will portray the titular role, with actors Sabyasachi Chakrabarty and Arjun Chakrabarty also starring in pivotal roles.
