Indian royals continue to live a luxurious life

Through the centuries, Royal families around the world have remained in the limelight for various reasons - good and bad.

The Indian royals are no different and continue to live a life of luxury and stature even in today's time. With the 26th amendment to the Constitution of India in July 1971, a lot changed for the Indian royalty. Many privileges were lost. Deprived of their royal titles, they were almost stripped off of their royal status. However, given the rich inheritance and the fame and fortune left by their ancestors, they survived the tides of time and sustained their identity along the way.

While some got to keep their magnificent palaces, others were adorned with precious gems and jewellery. That said, here is a glimpse of how some Indian royal families have remained unshaken.
