Congratulations on the success of your debut film Dashmi. How does it feel to see it gaining popularity steadily?
Thank you so much for all the love. It’s touching to see such a great response from the audience.

What were your initial thoughts and feelings before getting associated with this project and about your role in the movie?
Vicky Sidana, the casting director of Dashmi, called me in for a meeting. After hearing the story, I was deeply moved and hoped to be a part of the film. When they told me they were looking for a Delhi girl to play Monu, I got excited. They also mentioned that I would need to undergo a physical transformation for the role, which I was ready for. The opportunity to work on my character deeply was thrilling, so I quickly signed on for my first film ever.
As a new face in the industry, were you nervous about performing your role in front of established actors?

Yes, I was a little nervous but extremely excited to be a part of this project. However, my co-actors and I bonded well during readings and workshops, and Shantanu sir, the director, created a great team dynamic. Thanks to my training at Barry John Acting Studio, I felt confident in scene work and in front of the camera. The slight nervousness I had initially quickly faded away as we all rehearsed and worked together as a team.

How has your life changed after Dashmi?

Life after Dashmi has been blissful. I feel blessed to receive love and appreciation for my character and the film. People recognizing me as Monu is beautiful, and it's just the beginning of my forever. I love it.

Can you share a special review or compliment you received for your performance?
My mom is my best critic, and when she saw the film, she told me that she could see the difference between Monu and the real me. That was a great compliment.

What is your perspective on realistic cinema and social movies like Dashmi?

I love all kinds of films and wish to work in every genre. As an actor, it's a privilege to come across a script that seeks to create an impact on society. I want to create a balance by doing both entertaining films and movies that aim to bring about positive change.

Whom do you admire the most in the movie industry?

I deeply admire Kareena Kapoor. She has been my role model since childhood, and I used to imitate her dressing style. Additionally, I am a huge fan of Ranbir Kapoor. He is a true performer, and it's my dream to work with him.


What's next in the pipeline for you, and where do you see yourself in the next 5 years?

I have another film that we will start working on soon. In the next 5 years, I see myself fulfilling all my dreams by acting and entertaining the audience. I want to influence the audience positively through the kind of work I do.
