Chennai Comic Con 2026: Capes, cameras & Chennai's cosplayers
More than 45,000 fans streamed into Chennai Comic Con over the weekend. Capes swept through crowds, armour gleamed under stage lights, and cameras followed cosplayers who seemed to have stepped straight out of comics and anime.
Over two days at the Chennai Trade Centre, visitors moved between artist alleys lined with independent illustrators and merchandise stalls, gaming and esports zones, and panel discussions featuring Indian publishers. A highlight was a packed session by international comic writer Ron Marz, while stage events and K-wave dance performances drew the crowds well into the evening, giving the convention the feel of a festival as much as a fan meet.
