BT Life.Styled Club debuts with a shot of Mahjong & Mocha! See pics
Bombay Times set the tone for mindful socialising this week with Mahjong & Mocha. The afternoon marked the debut of BT Life.Styled Club, a brand-new initiative designed to bring people together over thoughtfully-curated experiences. Blending strategy, caffeine and conversation, the event drew seasoned Mahjong lovers and first-timers alike — each curious to learn, play, and excitedly scream “Mahjong!” As mocha flowed freely across tables, guests immersed themselves in the game with full gusto, quickly discovering how addictive Mahjong can be.
Pooja Jambotkar, who invited four friends to join her, shared her excitement and said, “I always wanted to know how this game is played, and I finally managed to grasp it here.”
Dr Suhani Mendonsa said this was an evening of digital detox. “What’s wonderful is that you meet new people and make new friends while playing Mahjong. We were away from our gadgets and engrossed in the game. I’m really happy Bombay Times organised an event like this,” she shared.
Sheetal Patel and Kanika Vasudeva of Lets Mahjong said, “Teaching Mahjong today was an absolute joy, and the mocha was delicious. We feel privileged to be associated with Bombay Times. Over the years, we’ve seen a growing interest in Mahjong. What was once dismissed as a game for ‘old people’ is now gaining widespread appeal.”
