19th Vasantotsav, a three-day celebration of music, organised annually by the Dr. Vasantrao Deshpande Pratishthan under the initiative of National Award-winning singer,
Rahul Deshpande, showcased a variety of musical traditions, from Bollywood and Marathi theatre to folk and classical music, bringing together artists and audiences in a vibrant cultural experience.

The festival opened with Usman Mir and Aamir Mir performing popular Bollywood 90s songs, followed by a musical play, ‘Natyasangeetachi Vatchal’ by Rahul Deshpande, Priyanka Barve, and Amey Wagh. The audience sang along, clapped in nostalgia, and listened with deep attention, creating a lively and emotionally engaging evening.

On day two, Pt. Vijay Ghate and Selva Ganesh led a tabla and percussion concert, followed by the folk presentation ‘The Folk Aakhyan’. The crowd responded with dancing their hearts out to every beat, fully absorbed in the folk storytelling and music.

The final day featured Armaan Khan singing evening raags, Rahul Sharma on santoor, and the grand finale by Rahul Deshpande with Raag Chandrakans and devotional compositions. The audience was deeply attentive, applauding thoughtfully, and left mesmerised, making the festival’s conclusion serene and memorable.
