The power of prayer

Often, people feel and question, what even is the point of prayers, worships, aartis, and more? During tough times, beliefs go down the drain and prayers become long-lost friends. And it is during this time that the power of prayer must be realised and felt within. When situations go south, it is important to remember how your guardian deities have always protected you, and led you on the right paths.

The date and deities

In the many different traditions and beliefs that cover our world and Universe, some of them are of the opinion that dates and numbers can make or break your fate, and those numbers can decide the deity who will look after you. In Hinduism for example, it is believed that each date is governed by a particular god or goddess, and they oversee the fate, destiny, and challenges that a person born on that day will go through.
So, here we mention the 9 numbers (individual and addition), and the 9 deities that preside over them.

3/12

Date 1, 10, 19, and 28

People born on the dates 1st, 10th, 19th, or 28th (when there are two digits, they are added and a result forms the number) are said to be under the divine eye and guidance of Lord Vishnu. And those born on these dates are said to be natural leaders who help others and have a strong sense of purpose in life. Just like Lord Vishnu came back to Earth in various avatars to help humanity, people born on these dates also take on different forms to help others. It is also believed that as their protector, Lord Vishnu guides them through challenges by giving them the boon of wisdom and patience.

4/12

Dates 2, 11, 20, 29

The people born on ‘2nd’ are under the guidance of Lord Shiva. And the common traits of people born on number ‘2’ dates are that they are more empathetic, sensitive, and have a better EQ than most people around them. People born on ‘2nd’ dates are also very calm and deeply spiritual, just like their presiding deity. It is believed that they get the divine guidance of Lord Shiva in the form of empathy and the ability to understand others.

5/12

Dates 3, 12, 21, and 30

Similar to people born on ‘1’, the ‘3s’ too are believed to be under the guidance of Lord Vishnu. And in the number 3, it is said that Lord Vishnu helps in the form of making people versatile and more adaptable than others. It is said that people born on these dates are more ambitious, expressive, and confident, and have a powerful aura that comes from knowing their talents and their importance. People born on these dates seldom doubt themselves, and stay confident in their pursuits. Some people also claim that Lord Vishnu’s influence on these people is seen in the way they maintain their focus and stay grounded despite life’s challenges.

6/12

Dates 4, 13, 22, and 31

According to different beliefs, the number ‘4’ is linked to Lord Ganesha, and so the people born on these dates come under Lord Ganesha’s wings, the Vighnaharta. And as assumed, when Lord Ganesha guides people, the obstacles and hurdles of their path are automatically kicked out.
People born on these dates are said to be extremely practical and analytical, but also have a sweet speech. They are determined, and are not afraid of hurdles that might come their way.

7/12

Dates 5, 14, and 23

According to beliefs and legends, people born on number ‘5’ dates are under the wing of not just one, but two deities. It is said that Lord Ganesha and Lord Ram, both preside over this number, and together guide the people born on these dates towards success. It is believed that people born on ‘5’ numbered dates are calm, composed, and intellectually and morally powerful like Lord Ram, and to compliment it, they know how to escape from the hurdles and obstacles, like Lord Ganesha.

8/12

Dates 6, 15, and 24

In numerology, the number ‘6’, and the dates in a month that form ‘6’ are related to Maa Lakshmi. The giver of health and wealth, Maa Lakshmi is the guardian deity of people born on number ‘6’ dates.
It is believed that her influence brings abundance, beauty, and grace into people’s lives, and the people under her guidance and eyes have a natural charm and eye for beauty.

9/12

Dates 7, 16, and 25

Similar to number ‘4’, number ‘7’ also comes under Lord Ganesha. And so, it is said that people born on 7th, 16th, and 25th are under the protection of Lord Ganesha. And being under the guidance of the Vighnaharta, the people born on these dates are natural leaders, problem solvers, and value their inner peace.
Lord Ganesha is also said to help them with a love for solitude, and so they prefer being with themselves and value company of self.

10/12

Dates 8, 17, and 26

In numerology, the number 8, and the dates that add up to become 8, are under the guidance of Lord Shani, the God of time and justice. And Lord Shani looks over the qualities of discipline, and Karma, and teaches his people the important lessons of responsibility and staying true and strong in the face of adversity.
It is believed that people under Lord Shani’s guidance are hardworking and disciplined.

11/12

Dates 9, 18, and 27

The last single digit, the people who come under the number ‘9’ or the dates that add to become ‘9’, are under the wings of Lord Hanuman, the ‘Sankat mochan’. People born on these dates are strong-willed, courageous, and devout to their cause and to their faith. They are also dedicated and loyal, having the same traits as their guiding deity, Lord Hanuman. It is believed that Lord Hanuman helps his devotees (born on number 9 or not) by inspiring them to walk on the right path, helps them be devoted, and inspires them to develop strength and courage to face the difficulties of life.

12/12

The importance of a guardian deity

The importance of having a guardian deity is one that people often ignore. And the importance of worshipping them is also lesser known by people.

According to many beliefs and traditions, the day you are born in, and the timings you were born at, tell a lot about your personality, the life ahead, the possible struggles, and more. And people sharing the same DOB, often face the same problems, highs and lows, and even situations of dilemma as well. And so, the God or Goddess who presides over that particular date is often responsible for and has the qualities to solve those problems that life and destiny pose at you.

What a load of horse dung. No wonder India is so largely backward whilst the privileged few are prosperou. Another way of keeping people in servitude fearful of the unseen gods and their fictitous magic.
