1/5

Avoid doing these things at a workplace

The workplace is a professional arena where your every move determines your behaviour at work. Your personality shines through every presentation or how you interact with your colleagues. Sometimes, there are certain mistakes you make, that mark you as an improper and unprincipled employee at work. To mend the mistakes, that you may be subconsciously making, take a note of the below listed unprofessional things you may be doing at work.

2/5

Interrupting others

Never interrupt other employees when they are talking only to state your point. When your turn comes, speak up, but don’t cut in between when others are speaking. This shows you as an impatient colleague who doesn’t know the etiquette at the workplace.

3/5

Being late at work

Being late at work, and meetings are always regarded as highly unprofessional behaviour. Avoid being late to work, unless there is an emergency. Leave your home a little early so that you’re in your office, a few minutes prior to any work or meeting.

4/5

Avoid complaining

Complaining about things at the office, or worse, about your personal life is very unprofessional in the workplace. Your colleagues may not say it to your face but there are high chances, they may feel irritated listening to your complaints.

5/5

Dressing up poorly

Your workplace is a professional place where you should dress professionally and appropriately. Don’t turn up in casual wear that makes an impression that you just don’t care how you look in your office. Wear pressed formals and don’t make a shabby appearance.
