The ugly celeb breakups
Bollywood as well as Hollywood has seen several breakups over the years like Bollywood’s Hrithik Roshan & Kangana, Shahid and Kareena but there are some that garnered a lot of attention from non filmy people as well. Here are some of the break ups that were huge and very ugly to the point of involving an ugly banter on social media.
Brad Pitt & Jennifer Aniston
This was Hollywood’s favourite couple and they had a huge fan following all over the world, individually and together. However, when Brad reportedly cheated on Jennifer for his then colleague Angelina Jolie, it all went downhill and their break up got ugly. More so because the world was split into camp Jen and camp Jolie. Pitt was bashed with ugly words by haters and many fans showed their disappointment in him.
Ben Affleck & Jennifer Garner
They got married in April 2005 and had 3 kids together but their marriage ended in 2017 with many accusing Ben of having an affair with their kids’ nanny Christine Ouzounian, which Affleck denied.
Salman & Aishwarya
The entire country knows that the duo broke up and how ugly it was. Salman is well known for his temper issues and Aishwarya too experienced it. The actress publicly shared that “after we broke up, he would call me and talk rubbish. He also suspected me of having affairs with my co-stars. I was linked up with everyone, from Abhishek Bachchan to Shahrukh Khan. There were times when Salman got physical with me, luckily without leaving any marks. And I would go to work as if nothing had happened.
“I stood by him enduring his alcoholic misbehaviour in its worst phases and in turn, I was at the receiving end of his abuse (verbal, physical and emotional), infidelity and indignity. That is why like any other self-respecting woman I ended my relationship with him,” she added.
Ranbir Kapoor & Deepika Padukone
Johnny Depp & Amber Heard
They were together for a bit until Heard shared an op-ed in a newspaper where she accused Depp of abuse. It all went downhill from there and turned out to be the ugliest legal battles for the world to see.
