Trump reveals 'toughest question' he would not answer about Melania during press interview
Valentine's Day has just gone by and while some couples might still be reeling in a love haze from spending some cosy days and memorable moments together, it seems the first couple of the United States has already moved on. On a flight aboard Air Force One, a seemingly simple question about the day of love, left the American President visibly fumbling and speechless, making many wonder why.
While travelling from West Palm Beach, Florida to Joint Base Andrews, Maryland the Trump was hosting his usual press gaggle aboard the plane when he appeared hesitant to answer one particular question. In fact, he completely dodged the question from the reporter who asked "Did you have any Valentine's Day plans with (Melania)?"
Trump leaned in and asked her to repeat the question. “Did you get her flowers?” the reporter added.
The President appeared strangely awkward at the point dubbing the question "toughest" and claiming he would rather not answer it. “I'd better not tell you that…. Goodbye everybody… that’s the toughest question.” However, he went on to praise his wife of twenty years, saying she would go down "as one of the truly great first ladies."
“Not a trick question. Obviously, it’s a no. But interesting that he couldn’t even manage to lie about this,” added another.
Not just Trump, the First Lady also ignored her husband in her Valentine's Day message to the nation. On February 13, Melania Trump attended an event held at Fort Bragg and Pope Army Airfield in North Carolina. She delivered a message to the US troops and their families but avoided mentioning her own husband.
“To our great armed forces of the United States stationed all over the world, I have a nostalgia-filled message: Happy Valentine’s Day,” she said. Rather than focusing on romance, she reminisced about centuries of wartime correspondence.
“Love letters have symbolised the union of patriotism and family devotion among our soldiers for 250 years,” she said. “The harmony of love of country and love of family is what makes us uniquely American.”
As she passed on the stage to Trump, he as well stuck to the theme and praised the soldiers. “We have the best warriors in the world,” Trump said, adding that “your commander in chief supports you totally," he said. The event closed as Village People's 'Y.M.C.A' blasted from the speakers as the couple danced on stage and attendees joined in.
Rather than the official first couple, the world saw former American first couple Barack and Michelle Obama spend the day of love lovingly. Sharing a picture of him kissing his wife on the cheek, with a grand bouquet of roses in the background, Obama wrote, “Celebrated Valentine’s Day with my forever dance partner. Love you, Miche!"

Netizens react to Trump's dodging
Many on the internet called out the President for dodging a question as simple as his Valentine's Day plans with the First Lady. “Out of everything he fields daily, that’s the one that made him sweat a little. Politics? Easy. Flowers? Now we’re in dangerous territory,” one person wrote.“Not a trick question. Obviously, it’s a no. The missing love for Valentine's Day
This incident comes after the official White House and POTUS Instagram accounts shared a Valentine's Day photo of the first couple. Neither of them appears to be smiling in the black-and-white photograph which was posted with the caption: “Happy Valentine’s Day”.Not just Trump, the First Lady also ignored her husband in her Valentine's Day message to the nation.
