These tips will help you achieve your goals

As 2022 inches closer, people have started listing out their new year resolutions once again. It’s pretty motivating to list down the things you want to be better at, in order to be the best version of yourself. But as a few months start pouring in, the resolve to adhere to and complete these resolutions slowly go away. And then it becomes very boring to follow your new year resolutions religiously. But as we all know, new year resolutions make us organised, give us a sense of direction and goal in life. Hence, we bring to you some useful tips to follow your resolutions for the better.

2/6

Start with micro-goals

Don’t think big at the very beginning. Take baby steps and decide on a new year resolution that helps you achieve it step by step. It’s always great to dream big, but you should also have the capacity to fulfil those.

3/6

Keep the resolutions for yourself

Don’t formulate your resolutions for anyone but yourself. Think about how you will improve and grow as a person, not how it will affect anyone else. This thought can help you to focus on yourself much better, without having any bitter ideas about it all.

4/6

Track your progress

Don’t take this lightly. It’s very important to track your progress because it will help you feel motivated to put more effort into your resolution. By any chance, if you do not see progress, it can either demotivate you or either strongly motivate you to not stop at anything. Taking the latter into consideration is much better for you.

5/6

Look for someone with similar goals

Having a person who has documented the same new year resolutions can be a win-win situation for you, because following your goals with someone motivates and encourages you to compete. This healthy competition is necessary for you to achieve your goals. So look for someone trustworthy and reliable to share your goals with.

6/6

Slow down and reward yourself

Don’t beat yourself up too much, if you aren’t able to achieve what you want. At this instance, it’s advisable to slow down, meditate and take time to yourself. Remember, you need time to rejuvenate yourself. And don’t forget to give yourself little treats and rewards for achieving even a little bit of your resolution.
