Radhika Merchant's walk down the aisle towards Anant Ambani brings them a step-closer to each other

The Ambanis' three-day extravagant pre-wedding celebrations came to an end with Anant Ambani and Radhika Merchant's Hastakshar ceremony which was held on March 3, 2024. For the ceremony, Anant was first escorted to a podium by his sister Isha Ambani, and sister-in-law Shloka Mehta. Radhika then walked down the aisle while Anant patiently waited for her on a podium. While Radhika was dressed in a beautiful Tarun Tahiliani sari, the to-be groom Anant was dressed in a classic ivory sherwani. Together, Anant and Radhika then headed towards the Jamnagar Township Temple complex amidst the chanting of sacred shlokas. Their Hastakshar ceremony was presided over by a pandit ji.

What is Hastakshar ceremony?
The word 'Hastakshar' translates to 'signing' is a ceremony which officially marks the union of Anant and Radhika. It brings the couple a step closer to each other, ahead of their wedding on July 12, 2024.

After the 'Hastakshar' ceremony, a 'Maha Aarti' was performed at the temple complex.

The dress code for the last event was Indian attires, and the celebrities-- both Indian and International- were seen decked up for the grand festivities of the last day.

Nita Ambani blesses Anant and Radhika
Nita Ambani also presented a stirring performance to the Vishwambhari Stuti, which is a sacred hymn that is dedicated to Maa Ambe who is an embodiment of power and strength. Through her performance, Nita Ambani seeked Maa Ambe’s blessings for Anant and Radhika’s journey together as a couple. She also dedicated her performance to her granddaughters, namely: Aadiya Shakti and Veda, and to all young girls, who symbolise the feminine energy.

Mukesh and Nita Ambani's grand three-day pre-wedding celebrations for Anant and Radhika was held from March 1 to 3, 2024 in Jamnagar which is also their hometown. The event saw the presence of over 1000 guests, including business and tech giants like Bill Gates, Mark Zuckerberg, Ivanka Trump, Anand Mahindra, Lakshmi Mittal, among many other celebrities and politicians. Bollywood celebrities included Kareena Kapoor Khan and Saif Ali Khan, Alia Bhatt and Ranbir Kapoor, Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh, Neetu Kapoor, Sara Ali Khan, Janhvi Kapoor, Ananya Panday, Suhana Khan, Shah Rukh Khan with son AbRam and his wife Gauri Khan, Akshay Kumar, the Bachchans, among many others.
