Dating etiquettes for the modern woman

You have a date but are anxious and unsure of how you must behave, do or say? Yes, being yourself is appreciated but there are many other dating rules and etiquettes you must know of. Here is an updated list of some dating rules for all those modern women out there.

2/7

Dress to impress

This one goes without saying and as always there ever since dating began. Clean, crisp clothes, hair in place and a little makeup with a spritz of a pleasant perfume. That is all you need. Do not overdo it.

3/7

Punctuality

Your sense of timing is crucial. Do not take anybody else’ time for granted. In case you are late due to some emergency, apologise and make sure you make up for it.

4/7

Affordable order

When ordering food and drinks, get something affordable. You may be rich but you do not know about the other person. Especially if it is your first date, be considerate and simmer down on that list of wants.

5/7

Good listener

It is very important that you listen to the other person as well. Never zone out and question one or two things if you feel the conversation is boring. This also reflects your patience level.

6/7

No ex talk

This one is a huge no-no. Kids, marriage and former love interests should never be brought up in your conversation on a first date. Not until he or she brings it up. Even if they do, brush it but avoid the details.

7/7

Paying the bill

Do not expect him only to pay. You must go dutch. Do offer to pay and insist on splitting the bill. Gone are the days when only men would pay. Today women are independent and fighting for feminism and that means equality right? So why the injustice here?
