Confessions of women that hate doing house chores

House chores are an inevitable part of daily life. These daily chores are for everyone irrespective of gender. However, not only in India but in other parts of the world as well, women are expected to do them all. Some women do it out of habit or very easily but for some women, these house chores evoke a deep sense of dislike and frustration. From the mundane to the overwhelming, here are some of those women who have anonymously shared their heartfelt experiences and confessions about why they hate doing them and they are likely to resonate with most of us in some ways.

"I confess, I absolutely hate doing house chores. It feels like a never-ending cycle of cleaning and tidying that drains my energy and creativity. I am unable to do several other things that I want to because I am busy cleaning up etc. My partner does nothing and so it all falls on me.”

"I have a deep dislike for house chores. They make me feel trapped and overwhelmed, and I often find myself procrastinating or avoiding them altogether. We can easily hire people for all these things but for some reason my dad expects my mom and me to go about it. He does just one or two things when he feels like it. If anything is not upto the mark, he yells at us and we end up feeling anxious”.

"House chores are not my thing. I'd rather spend quality time with my loved ones or engage in activities that bring me joy and fulfillment. I would much rather meet my cousins, and friends and do some courses. I have joined Zumba classes which are so much better.”

"House chores are a source of frustration for me. I find it hard to find motivation or satisfaction in mundane tasks that seem to pile up endlessly. I hate dusting and cleaning and watering the plants etc. I just don’t like all this yet I have to do them. I wish I could hire a robot and get everything done by it.”
