Caitlyn Jenner has a two word response to daughter Kylie’s romance with Timothée Chalamet

Caitlyn Jenner is keeping things simple when it comes to her daughter Kylie Jenner’s high-profile romance with Timothée Chalamet. As speculation around the couple continues to swirl, including reports suggesting they are “basically married”, the former Olympic champion has offered a brief but telling response about the actor who has become part of the Kardashian-Jenner inner circle.

Speaking to TMZ, Caitlyn addressed Kylie’s relationship with the Golden Globe-winning actor, making it clear her priority is her daughter’s happiness.




“I just want my daughter to be happy, and she is,” Caitlyn said. When asked directly what she thinks of Chalamet, her response was succinct: “Great kid.”

Caitlyn added that she had seen Timothée in Marty Supreme, calling him a “phenomenal actor.” She continued, “He’s a good kid, and he’s very good to Kylie, even more important.”

Timothée, 30, and Kylie, 28, have been dating for three years and, after early speculation that the relationship was a publicity stunt, appear to have settled into something far more serious. Recent reports claim the couple have been living together for over a year, with Timothée said to be involved in the lives of Kylie’s two children, Stormi, seven, and Aire, three, whom she shares with ex-boyfriend Travis Scott.

Public praise and private boundaries

Earlier this month, Page Six reported that Kylie and Timothée are “basically married,” despite not being officially engaged. A source told the outlet, “They’re obsessed with each other and always together.”

While Chalamet has historically been guarded about his personal life, that has shifted in recent months. He has appeared alongside Kylie at major awards ceremonies, including the Golden Globes, BAFTAs and Critics’ Choice Awards.

During his Critics’ Choice Awards acceptance speech, where he won Best Actor, Timothée said, “Thank you to my partner of three years, thank you for our foundation. I love you. I couldn’t do this without you. Thank you from the bottom of my heart,” as Kylie was seen replying, “I love you.”

At the Golden Globes on Sunday, where he won Best Actor in a Motion Picture for Marty Supreme, he again acknowledged her support, saying, “For my parents, for my partner - I love you so much.”

Despite their growing public presence, Kylie has stressed the importance of privacy. Speaking to British Vogue last year, she said, “Privacy is so important to me in life.” She added, “It feels so good.”

The couple made their first public appearance together at Beyoncé’s Renaissance tour at SoFi Stadium on September 4, 2023, before attending the US Open final days later, where they were spotted kissing during the match between Daniil Medvedev and Novak Djokovic.
