1/7

Do not make these mistakes

Fights are common among partners but if it is happening a lot, it is possible that you are repeating some mistakes while you are arguing. These mistakes can ruin your relationship, make you or the other feel mentally abused, tired and even exhausted from keeping up with the relationship. Work on these 6 mistakes and see how your relationship changes for good.

2/7

Using the wrong gestures

When you use defensive body language amid an argument such as crossing your arms, turning away, using finger gestures, rolling your eyes, etc, it adds to the anger of the other person. Actions like sneering, shaking your head and wringing your hands can worsen a situation.

3/7

Addressing several issues at one go

This one is very common. Even if the argument began with one subject, it snowballs into a huge fight with several other subjects being rolled into one. Old fights and past mistakes are added to it. You can tackle only one issue at a time and by combining several others, it will just confuse you both and you will realise that at the end of it , there was no outcome.

4/7

The blame game

It is very common and easy to build a case to prove the other wrong and blame them for all the unhappiness in your life but in the end if this practice you will just lose your relationship. You may feel that you have won an argument and that the other partner in the relationship has lost, but the truth is you will lose both your partner and relationship when you do this.

5/7

Not letting the other complete

When you do not listen to what your partner has to say you may not get to know what made your partner so mad at you. It is important to let the other voice their side of the story, it could always be something you did not expect. It can be a misunderstanding that should have been cleared a while back.

6/7

Wrong place & wrong medium

It has been said a number of times that the best way to communicate is verbal communication. Use the phone or meet face to face and talk. When you are texting each other, no one can know your facial expressions or the tone. Many couples make it worse when they fight over texts. It can be misinterpreted in many ways.

7/7

Arguing when you are tired and hungry

This one is the most understated mistake. It may sound funny but it holds a lot of weight. Bickering when you are tired or hungry can make you say things you are bound to regret later. According to a study, people with low glucose (which comes from food) show more aggressive behavior toward their partners.
