5 signs that you are not someone's first choice but second

1/6

You are not their priority if these things are happening

If not you, there are many people who keep playing hot and cold with a person and keep that relationship on a back burner, luring him/her with a carrot every now and then but inconsistently, keeping the person on a hook all the time. But how do you truly know that you are indeed the second choice and that he/she is not entirely busy with work that time is something they do not have? Look out for these 7 signs or behaviours.

2/6

No pre-planning

Whenever you want to go out and pre plan a date or a trip, he/she does not commit to anything? Is the person always making last minute plans with you? If the above two things are true then it is very much possible that you are not the priority and when their plan falls out with someone else, only then does he/she come to you. Sometimes it is fine and normal but everytime is something you need to worry about.

3/6

The texting habit

When you are not a priority, you are given little attention with a few texts to keep you hooked. You see them posting on social media but no response on your window. You are remembered only when he/she wants something from you. This behaviour must not be encouraged unless you are okay being someone’s second choice.

4/6

Them keeping their options open

If you are not someone’s priority then that person will refrain from talking about you or keep it clear that you are nowhere in that picture and even with you he/she will talk about someone else or others, keeping you status unclear.

5/6

Too many cancellations

When you are not a priority, they cancel a lot on you. Your time is respected. This will happen especially at the last minute. What they do care about is that you should always be available and give them your time only when you are needed.

6/6

Memory

When we are interested in someone, we remember what he/she tells us about them. We even notice what he/she wears. But when we are not that into them, we easily forget what was said. When you are a second option, the same thing happens with you. He/she rarely remembers anything you told them. You explain yourself again and again and well it is disturbing.
