7 ways to celebrate mother's day during the lockdown

No matter whether you live with her or not, our mother is someone who takes care of us unconditionally. Even sitting miles apart, she keeps checking on our well being and all our needs. And in whatever capacity possible, she tries to fulfil all our demands, deals with our tantrums and makes our lives better, each day.

But how many times did it occur to you to halt from your busy life and thank her for being so selfless and giving? Tomorrow is Mother's Day and we don't think there can be any better day and opportunity than this to show her how much you love her.

Because amid the coronavirus lockdown planning some extraordinary surprises won't be possible, here are some of the smallest gestures to make your mother happy.

2/8

Give her a handwritten note

Nothing in this world can replace the charm of a handwritten note. Especially, in the age of social media, it's best to write a note to make your mother feel special. Write a small letter to thank her for all the selfless love and give it to her with her morning tea.

3/8

Prepare her favourite breakfast

Your mother has been giving you bed tea or milk since you were a kid. It's time to pamper her and prepare an exciting breakfast for her. Even if you are not a great cook, you can surely make something with the help of internet.

4/8

Home salon

As all the salons are closed due to COVID 19 lockdown, give your mom a manicure and pedicure to make her feel relaxed. If you don't know how to do it, look for an online video and learn how to do it. Believe us, this will give her the much-needed pampering.

5/8

Watch her favourite film with her

Like all of us, our moms also have a few favourite classic movies that they might love to watch over and over again. Because on usual days, we don't find time to sit and watch a movie with her, why not do it now?

6/8

Make a video collage

Who doesn't cherish old memories? Dig out some old pictures with your mom and make a video collage of it. This idea is the best for people those who are away from home at this time.

7/8

Clean the house for her

Amidst coronavirus pandemic, our moms have been trying really hard to keep our homes sparkling clean. Give her a day off and deep clean and sanitize your house.

8/8

Do an activity with her that she enjoys

Do any activity that your mother enjoys. It could be anything from dancing, gardening, walking in the park or painting
