Fresh explosions rock Tehran after the IRGC claimed it launched missile and drone strikes on three American warships in the Strait of Hormuz. Iranian media reported that blasts were heard across the capital as air defence systems activated amid fears of counter-attacks and a collapse of the fragile ceasefire. Authorities confirmed attacks in Minab, while multiple explosions were also reported in Bandar Abbas and Qeshm Island. Iranian media claimed parts of Bahman Port on Qeshm Island were struck during exchanges of fire involving Iranian and American forces. The escalation comes after Tehran accused Washington of attacking two Iranian vessels, including an oil tanker, in Gulf waters. In response, the IRGC said it launched anti-ship ballistic missiles, cruise missiles and suicide drones at US destroyers operating near the Strait of Hormuz.
