Billionaire Elon Musk has freshly taken over the social media platform Twitter, and hit multiple headlines for the shaking mass layoffs in his company soon after his takeover. In a recent email to his employees, he has also given them an ultimatum to commit to “long hours at high intensity” or leave.
Coming back to Musk, the SpaceX founder is also grabbing eyeballs for his recent physical transformation, and claims to have already dropped 30 pounds, which is nearly 13 kg.

A Twitter user recently shared pictures of Musk, commenting on his incredible transformation. The user wrote, "You've lost a ton of weight, Elon! Keep up the fantastic work."
To this, Musk replied, "Down 30 lbs!"
Other people also congratulated him for his feat. "Congrats E! That's awesome," one user wrote. Another added, "It can be a tough road, but keep at it and you'll get there!"

Several users expressed their surprise to see this massive transformation. One Twitter user asked the "Chief Twit'' how he managed to lose so much weight.

Fasting for weight loss is something Musk has been trying for quite some time, and consistently losing weight too. In a tweet on August 28, he shared that he had been fasting periodically on a friend's advice and feeling healthier.
"On advice of a good friend, I've been fasting periodically & feel healthier. The Zero fasting app is quite good," he wrote on Twitter. Sharing his progress, he added that he was "over 20 lbs (9 kgs) down".
Musk’s experience with diabetes drug for weight loss
A Twitter user asked Musk if consuming diabetes drug Ozempic is also making him experience side effects such as burps that taste like rotten eggs
"Bruh, I also take Ozempic for my diabeetus. Does it give you those nasty burps too? Tastes like rotten eggs lol ugh," the user wrote."Yeah, next-level," Musk responded.
Ozempic and Wegovy are brand-name prescription medications (both injectable), that are used as gut hormones. The basic function of these drugs is to change the levels of insulin in diabetes patients.
As for weight loss, these medicines help early satiety, so you start feeling full sooner. They also delay gastric emptying, which means that the food you eat moves slowly through your gut, also making you feel fuller for longer. Decreased appetite can help in managing weight.

Apart from the side effect Musk agreed to on Twitter, these drugs can also lead to several other side effects which can negatively impact your health. According to the official website of Wegovy as well as the US FDA, these possible side effects include
Cancer, kidney failure, suicidal thoughts, increased heart rate, gallbladder problems, nausea, diarrhoea, vomiting, constipation, abdominal pain, headache, fatigue, indigestion, dizziness, gastroenteritis and gastroesophageal reflux disease. There is also a potential risk of thyroid C-cell tumors and allergic reactions.
In general, doctors advise against using these drugs for weight loss. You should consult a doctor or nutritionist before following Musk’s weight loss diet.
