The turning point
It was then that I decided to lose weight. However, post my 2nd C-section delivery, I gained weight again. My body changed, but this time, my mind was set on weight loss and a healthy body. I worked smartly without getting into the trap of fancy diets, and this time I knew exactly what works best for me.
Diet followed
My lunch: All green vegetables, all Indian pulses, dal, beans, 2 phulkas, a lot of salad, curd or egg or paneer bhurji, little rice.
My dinner: 2 bajara bhakar, any dal, or green veggies and salad (daily), little rice.
Pre-workout meal: 1 boiled egg
Post- workout meal: 1 banana, 1 glass milk, 1 boiled egg. Sometimes, protein shake
I indulge in (What you eat on your cheat days): Pizza, burger, biriyani, pakoda, vada pav.
Low-calorie recipes I swear by: curd, cucumber chilla , besan chilla, idli, dosa, salad.

Fitness secrets I unveiled
How do I stay motivated?: I had suffered a lot in the past because of health problems, so workout had become my routine which kept me on track naturally. People get inspired seeing me, and this feeling helps me move forward.
How do you ensure you don’t lose focus?: When we start loving something, we are naturally focused. Find your strength. Ask yourself ‘Why do you want to lose weight? That "Why” should be powerful enough.
What’s the most difficult part of being overweight?
Being overweight is never a problem but the severe health issues we face because of that extra fat in the body is a big problem.
What shape do you see yourself 10 years down the line?: I really want to stay disease free, and in appropriate shape as per my age after 10 years.
What are the lifestyle changes you made?
Consistency is the key, and routine is the mantra.
Also, I realised that Indian food made by my mother was the best food for weight loss. I stayed away from sweets. I still eat but in very less proportion. I eat salads both for lunch and dinner. In addition, I eat fruits and dry fruits daily.
Lessons learnt from weight loss: Weight loss should be seen in terms of both health and beauty (not just for beauty). I also started a YouTube channel (Neha G N weightloss journey), where I have shared my weight loss journey.
